- Think through the i chord in the key of D minor—name its root and imagine the RH chord tones
- Study the V7 chord
- notice its single-tone root in the left hand
- study the 2 different voicings of the RH dominant 7th
- the first omits the 5th
- the second omits both the 3rd and 5th
- Think through the V7 in the key of D minor
